Talidandaganu' Lodge Web Policies

This web site complies with all Official OA Web Site Guidelines:

Web Policies
1. The appropriate OA leadership must have direct control over the content of its official web site (i.e. the Key 3 at each level of the organization).
 
The Webmaster and Web Adviser usually make changes to the web page.  The Lodge Key-3 can also directly control the content of the web site.
 
2. The content of the OA site must be appropriate to the Scouting movement and the Order of the Arrow. Safeguarded information such as ceremony details must be properly protected.
 
The web site content is regularly reviewed to make sure the content is appropriate to the Scouting movement.  Safeguarded information is protected by the same methods used on the National OA web site, based on information all OA members with that honor should know.
 
3. The OA site shall not contain any advertisements or commercial endorsements, except those for the organization providing the site service if it is provided for free or at a discount.
 
This web site makes no commercial endorsements and has no advertising, except for OA activities, and BSA activities. 
 
4. The OA site shall not engage in the electronic sale of BSA Supply Division merchandise, merchandise commissioned by the National Order of the Arrow Committee, or competing products.
 
No products are sold on this web site. 
 
5. The OA site shall not contain any links directly to any sites that contain material that is not appropriate to the Scouting movement.
 
All directly linked sites are reviewed to assure they do not contain inappropriate material.  Please advise the Webmaster is any linked sites contain inappropriate material.  The links on this site to every BSA council and OA lodge have domains that are sometimes abandoned, and taken over by others who display inappropriate material.
 
6. The OA site shall not replicate any BSA publication currently for sale through the Supply Division.
 
This site contains no BSA publication currently for sale through the Supply Division.
 
7. The OA site must abide by all laws regarding copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property.
 
To the best of our knowledge, this site complies with all laws regarding copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property. All graphic items, multi-media (videos), JavaScripts, etc. are either 1) original to this web site or to its authors, 2) in the public domain, 3) were obtained through the written consent of a person who approved its use on our OA web site, or 4) the requested consideration for an item has been given to the author. 

Some items on this site require specific permission, and should not be taken from this site without asking in order to avoid legal problems for your OA site.  
 
8. The OA site must consider the safety and privacy of their participants by obtaining necessary permissions to release information about or identifying images of any specific individual.
 
Permission to release information about individuals has been obtained.  This information is generally limited to lodge and chapter officers, committee chairmen, and their advisers.  Email addresses listed are forwarded to actual addresses.  Every youth email address is also forwarded to an adult adviser, or monitored by an adult adviser.
 
9. The OA site should include an email contact address for reaching the person managing the site, so visitors can report any problems or concerns.
